Gratitude Meaning
A warm and deep feeling of thankfulness for someone who has done something for you or for something which you have and it is of great help. Gratitude is the manifestation of love, commitment and devotion towards those who are meaningful to you. It encompasses shared experiences and understanding that the universe has united us together for a purpose.
Thankfulness vs Gratitude
It is to be noted that the terms ‘Thank you’ and ‘Gratitude’ are not synonyms. To understand both the terms better, the below table explains the difference between ‘Thank you’ and ‘Gratitude’:-
Gratitude is a sense of feeling that happens at a deeper level and comes from within your heart. The act of gratefulness is memorable and can live for a long time. When you feel grateful toward someone, you can feel the sense of appreciation for that person even after many years later.
Why sense of Gratitude
We must note that our achievements and possessions are not 100% attributable to our efforts. There are lot of other factors which contribute to our success e.g. the parents who have given birth and brought us up. The guidance of parents, teachers and seniors, infrastructure, support system and environment around us makes a lot of contribution.
Being grateful can grow beyond the act of thankfulness. You are willing to sacrifice and do something special even without someone requiring you to. Strong sense of Gratitude should be the way of life.
Strong sense of Gratitude leads to higher happiness quotient,as one always focuses on what she / he has got which leads to feeling of satisfaction and happiness. When one realises that lot of other people and factors contribute to their success, attitude becomes positive.Once people get to know the interdependence of each other for their success, the approach becomes collaborative which leads to strong team work and bonding. Everyone works harder. People with strong sense of gratitude are able to garner strong support and lead a healthy and long life with feeling of enjoyment.
How to achieve strong sense of Gratitude
One powerful way to bring strong sense of Gratitude (gratefulness) into your life is by writing your gratitude list. Each morning, before you get to work, please do recall / write down a list of things that you are feeling grateful for. It can be your parents, spouse, kids, colleagues, seniors, friends, computer, house, the food on the table, your money in the bank, etc. Just make a list of things that you want to be grateful for and actually feel the emotions. Feel the gratefulness and express it orally and in writing. Do not miss a single opportunity to express your gratefulness. This will train you to become a grateful person who is always blessed with greatness and opportunities.
Please note “Thankless people cannot go a long way as they miss the team along the line and are left alone.”
‘Being thankful is great and being grateful is much better.’
‘Gratitude is an attitude which gives us the fortitude to deal with the toughest challenges in our lives.”
All passengers are not Hijackers, but all Hijackers are passengers!! Whom are you looking for?
The aim of Aviation Security is to prevent acts of unlawful interference, above all by keeping threatening items such as arms and explosives away from aircraft.
It has always been high on the agenda for decades, when it became a major cause for concern following the terrorist attacks. Therefore, AVSEC has introduced regulations & standards on Aviation Security domain, as well as mechanisms for monitoring compliance. SpiceJet Security personnel are at the core of everything we do to prevent acts of unlawful interference. We strive to be a value-led organisation, firmon our beliefs by providing our passengers a respectful, inclusive, and secure travel environment in a professional manner.
My view of success is when those we meet acknowledge the value and being known as a high-performing team that constantly looks in the mirror. Also, one that ensures doing the right things the right way to keep SpiceJet safe and secure, to make animpactful difference each and every day.
Prescriptive Indian civil aviation rules are a key part of aviation security management (e.g. technical standard operating processes and procedures) we collectively ensure a safe and secure aviation system – so every passenger feels safe every time they fly. We work forSpiceJet domestic & international operationsincluding foreign contracted airlines and work along with security communities to develop and maintain a robust civil aviation security system to achieve high standards of aviation security.
I write this note to express our extreme pleasure and appreciateeveryone’s effort for delivering the ‘’Best ’’by not compromising to settle for the average. You all are setting a new benchmark for SpiceJet with your diligence and self-motivation continue to inspire team & according to analytics, we are far ahead of our competitors on revenue generation. This wouldn't have been possible without your support and professionalism. The hard work of each and every team member has been crucial to our success.
Over the next consecutive weeks, you all will be hearing about the expansion plan, and once again, I ask you to step up & show the commitment as we did in the past. In line with our proposed planning, we will be adding new businesses to our portfolio and, expect to bring in substantial revenue plus increase the value of our security standards altogether.
Leadership team is confident that with your support, we will continue to surpass the expectations in the coming months & together shall accomplish this positively.
One of the biggest fascination of Human beings, is to fly.
Various cultures have manifested this dream in their own ways. In India, the references are from Ramayana while in the west story of Daedalus and his son Icarus is perhaps best loved story.
Daedalus was a famous architect, inventor, and master craftsman. He worked for King Minos of Crete and built the labyrinth in which the monstrous Minotaur was imprisoned. Incurring the King’s displeasure, Daedalus and his son Icarus were jailed in the labyrinth. As Minos controlled the sea around Crete, Daedalus realized that the only way to escape was by air and built wings for him and Icarus, fashioned with feathers held together with wax. They successfully flew from Crete, but Icarus grew exhilarated by the thrill of flying and soared too close to the sun god Helios; the wax melted from the heat and he fell to his death.
Today, Aviation has progressed to the extent that the first tourist has visited space but we must not forget, it’s result of dream to fly, coupled with blood and sweat of countless people, who wanted to realize their dream of flying.
Let’s salute these known and unknown heroes, who even risked their life in order to pursue the dream to fly.
Let’s see the early attempts made by Humans to fly.
These attempts may look insignificant today when we see modern jets and human flights to moon and beyond. However, these failures laid the foundation stone for future scientists and engineers to launch the machine that could fly.
A few things we can look into is the concept of wings, aerodynamic designs, three contact points (nose wheel and main wheels) with surface, need of a power source and so on…….
The credit of videos above goes to all who dared to pursue their dreams against all odds, the people who collected them and of course….YouTube
"While Engineering, finance, medicine etc. are noble pursuits and necessary for our survival. It is Art that gives meaning to life and our recognition of our inner self, how we feel, how we think, how we associate and how we dissociate. I think I'm blessed considering I can translate my emotions on paper and that they mean something. My obsession with pen and blank sheets of paper started in early childhood, I would draw randomly and try to find meaning to it. With time the passion faded but obsession remained intact until recently I picked up my pen again and started my pursuit of finding meaning and happiness alike. I'm still blessed."
